The Brickwall Film Competition is a locally produced, 48 hour film contest that will, hopefully, bring together local independent filmmakers who enjoy their craft. If you are familiar with the One Night Stand, or the 48 Hour Film Contest then this format will already make some sense. If not, here are the basics:
-On Friday April 4th at 7pm, an "assignment" will be emailed to all participating filmmakers.
-Teams will have 48 hours to complete a 5 minute video, and have a physical copy turned in to the Competition. (Sunday April 6th at 7pm)
-On Monday evening April 7th at 7pm, there will be a showcase of all the completed assignments at Deja Vu Comedy Club. All of the films turned in on time, that run 5-10 minutes will be shown. Judging will produce an overall winner. Tickets for the Showcase will cost $5.
-Proceeds other than marketing costs, venue costs, and prizes will be donated to a local charity, in this case, the Central Missouri Humane Society. This idea is not profit-driven, merely an oppurtunity to build the film communtiy here in Columbia.
-Limited to 20 teams. Entry fee is $25 payable with cash or check. Please make any checks to "Brickwall Film Competition". First come, first served. Entry forms are available on real paper at The Heidelberg, or from the Entry link below. Please email brickwall.film@gmail.com with questions, etc.
